The following is a list of call features that are included with each extension in your Hosted PBX telephone system. Click on the call feature you wish to learn more about:

Voicemail: with email delivery

Whether you're on another call or away from home, your voicemail will save the message to be retrieved at a later time. Access your messages from anywhere, anytime by any phone. With voicemail to email, you can also receive your voice messages via email anywhere that you can connect to the web.

Call Return

Call return allows you to press *69 to identify the last caller. This is particularly useful if you don't have Caller ID.

Call Waiting

This feature notifies you (with a beep) when there's a second incoming call, while you're on another call. Switch to the new phone call without disconnecting the first call.

Caller ID

Caller ID is an excellent way to manage your incoming calls. When someone calls your phone, Caller ID shows the number of the caller on a digital display. Caller ID can help manage your Voicemail Notification by Email. The caller's identity is displayed in the subject line of any email that you receive as part of our voicemail notification by email. You can filter desired calls directly to voicemail or forward to another number.

Do Not Disturb

Do Not Disturb allows you to send your calls directly to your voicemail without ringing your phone; although, you can allow important calls to get through. If you wish, you can also prompt callers: "The party you have reached has currently requested not to be disturbed. Press 1 if you would still like to connect to your party's line or press 2 to leave a message."

Speed Dial

With this feature you can pre-define speed dials instead of manually dialling your commonly-used phone numbers. Also, there's no need to pre-define your speed dials for each phone - you can define once, and share amongst all of your phones! Use our web-based User Portal to enter up to 100 speed dial numbers online, and they will automatically be available from all your phones.

Caller ID Block

Caller ID block allows you to manage the personal information sent with your outgoing calls. For privacy reasons, you can block your Caller ID from being sent either on a per-call basis or permanently using your phone or the User Portal.

Auto Attendant

Auto Attendant, also known as the virtual receptionist, may be used as a primary interface for incoming calls in place of a live operator. This feature allows your callers to key in a specific extension or dial by name to quickly and easily reach their intended party or destination. The Auto Attendant is easy to use with all features easily set up through the online User Portal and all greeting prompts are completely customizable.

User Portal

With our User Portal, you can access all of your advanced service features from any phone, including cell phone, home phone or even hotel or airport phones while you are on the road.div>

Repeat Dialing

We will ring you back when the phone number you are trying to reach is available, at which point you can pick up the phone and you will be connected. While we are trying to reach the number for you, you can continue making other calls. We will connect your calls only when both you and the party you are trying to reach are free.

3-Way Calling

The 3-way calling feature does not require any special equipment; it allows you to connect 3 parties anywhere in the world. For billing purposes, we treat a 3-Way Call as two separate calls that happen at the same time. Of course, if you are a subscriber to any of our unlimited long distance calling plans, any resulting charges will be free.

Call Forwarding

Whether you need or want to stay connected with your home or the office, Call Forwarding follows you wherever you go. With this feature you can forward your calls to any number in the USA or Canada (depending on your long distance package), and even have your incoming calls ring your number plus any other number at the same time.

Call Treatments

If you wish to define specific treatment for certain incoming calls, this feature lets you define call routing rules for up to six different caller groups. This feature starts from traditional call screening functionality and builds on advanced features that allow you to differentiate between callers like coworkers or customers. For example, you can set up five incoming call groups: Customers, Coworkers, Suppliers, Friends and Family, and Advertiser. You can then set up different call treatments for each of these groups depending on day of the week or time of day. For example, for the times when you are in a regularly scheduled weekly team meeting, you may want calls from suppliers and friends and family to be forwarded to voice mail, while call from customers may be forwarded to your soft phone or cell phone.

Calling Restriction

This feature lets you control your communications costs by limiting the outgoing capabilities on a per phone basis. For example, you may allow your employees full calling privileges when in the office, but allow them to only have local calling capabilities when working from a home office. Similarly, you may want to only allow managers and sales staff to make long distance calls, while the engineering and administrative employees are only allowed to make local calls.

Location-Based Caller ID Filter

We are please to offer a new service that allows the caller to change their caller ID depending on where they are calling. You can dial Texas and look like you are calling from Texas, even if your office is located in Canada. If you are looking to expand your presence in different markets without expanding your physical office location then this feature is perfect for you.
